Overview
The nabi Compete aims to introduce the fitness concept to children and pre-teens in a fun and engaging way. The product includes two bands, allowing two children to wear them and participate in a game-like competition to motivate each other via the mobile apps available for iOS or Android.
Contribution
I played a key role in developing the product concept, advocating for selling the bands in pairs to leverage the power of play as a learning tool and to encourage kids to stay active. In addition, I managed an interdisciplinary team consisting of an illustrator, UI and UX designers. My responsibilities included overseeing the entire app experience, from crafting fun challenges and animations to implementing engaging sound effects and designing a user interface that looks like playing any other kid-focused mobile game.

Translating Calories & Fitness Concepts into Kid-Relatable Terms
The nabi Compete was designed to help children grasp the concepts of calories and distance through Smart Units. Kids engage in food burn challenges displayed with relatable, everyday items like a can of soda or a hamburger, fostering understanding of calorie consumption. Additionally, the Compete encourages children to walk, jump, or run distances equivalent to real landmarks, making learning enjoyable through active play.
